LABOUR PLEDGES WORTH NOTHING – DONNELLY

PAUL-NEWSReacting to reports that Tánaiste Joan Burton is to announce Labour’s pledge to introduce a living wage if elected back into government Cllr. Paul Donnelly said:

”The last thing we need is more empty promises from the Labour party. The cuts Joan Burton has supported have destroyed the lives of thousands up and down the country not least here in Dublin West.

“Labour promised to protect the most vulnerable in our society, to stand up for working people and to end the austerity measures implemented under Fianna Fáil. Once elected Labour abandoned those commitments and have become the whipping boys of Fine Gael”

“The people of Dublin West and the country only want one pledge from the Labour party, to call a general election as soon as possible and end this failure of a government”
