Dublin West Sinn Féin Cllr Paul Donnelly has expressed huge concerns in relation to the proposal by the DAA to go ahead with the second runway in Dublin Airport.
Cllr Donnelly said “I have been contacted by residents in Tyrrelstown and Hollystown to express their concerns in relation to the proposal by the DAA to remove the limits on night time use by airplanes”.
“Tyrrelstown and Hollystown are directly in line with the flight paths and have said that at times it’s difficult to hear yourself when outside the house and in gardens with the noise or aircraft. They are deeply concerned about the potential impact if the  airport operates throughout the night”.
“Sinn Féin will be presenting an emergency motion to Fingal County Council monthly meeting to ensure that the communities concerns are addressed and that the original night time limits are not tampered with”.
“I am confident that we will have the full support of all councillors who have the interests of the community at heart”.
