SINN FÉIN WELCOME CCTV IN TOLKA VALLEY PARK AT CASTLECURRAGH

tolka valley park photoDublin West Sinn Féin representative Paul Donnelly has welcomed the installation of cctv in the Tolka Valley Park alongside Castlecurragh. Sinn Féin has for some months raised the issue of community safety in the park at this section both at council meetings, public meetings and board meetings of the Safer Blanchardstown Community policing forum.

“I am also very pleased that the shrubbery has been further cut back and now allows for extensive passive surveillance of users of the park from the main road. It is unfortunate that such measures have to be taken however they were absolutely  needed. I am further calling for increased park rangers and Garda patrols to complete the security package required to increase the communities use of the Tolka valley. Its our community, they are our facilities and no one should fear using them”.
